<–Question of the Week: 10/2/16 Question of the Week: 10/16/16–>
The Question of the Week is posted every Sunday and will consist of a question followed by my answer and explanation to the same. Some questions will only require a simple answer that could potentially be followed by an explanation. Many questions will be writer oriented, but not all. Everyone is encouraged to answer in the comments and discussions/follow up questions are more than welcome!
What’s your favorite type of Halloween candy?
This might get me some raised eyebrows as many consider these to be in the same vein as candy corn (which gets so much hate and is a candy I like, as well), but my favorite Halloween treat is those mellowcreme pumpkins.

Yes, these guys
I love these things even though they’re sweet enough to melt your teeth, but they’re also dangerous because once I open a bag, it tends to disappear. Thankfully, they only show up from mid-September to Halloween, disappearing until next year. My sweet tooth can only take so much.
What’s your favorite Halloween candy? If you’re not really a candy person, what’s your favorite Halloween food or drink?
I look forward to your answers in the comments!

I don’t know if I can choose just one!
Reese’s peanut butter cups are definitely at the top of the list. Anything with chocolate and lots of peanut butter is my jam.

I’m so shocked that your favorite candy has peanut butter in it :p So when I was in college, we used to make this “snack” consisting of chocolate chips mixed with peanut butter. Later my current BFF told me she used to do the same thing, but put it in the microwave. I’m picky with how I eat my PB, but combining it with chocolate is always a win.

One of my favorite snacks is Apple Nachos. Any type of apple cut into wedges, pour melted peanut butter over top them and then top that with mini chocolate chips. It equals SO much win!

I don’t think I’ve ever had apple nachos! I have had apple chips though, which you can get in Amish country. Pair that with some apple butter and you’ve got a fantastic snack.

I have a weakness for candy corn during October. Even though the sweetness actually makes me wince at times, I just can’t seem to stop eating them!

I don’t know why it gets such a bad rap! It fulfills all the properties of candy. It’s super sweet, you can eat a ton of it in high quantities, and your dentist will hate you lol.

This feels like cheating a little, but I’m definitely a fan of the little chocolate balls with the foil Jack-o-lantern wrappers. I’m pretty sure they’re exactly the same as the Christmas ball and Easter egg ones, but chocolate is definitely a weakness of sorts for me.

For some reasons I’m thinking of Rocher, but maybe that’s the orange flavored chocolate. Either way, chocolate is definitely a choice and cheating is certainly allowed!

I’m not the biggest fan of Halloween candy, but I really like those Jack-o-Lantern cookies with the orange sprinkles all over. It’s more of a generic holiday snack that takes the forms of Christmas trees in December, but I really like sprinkles, haha.

Those cookies are so good, but they’re cookies so that’s always a delicious choice! Sprinkles make every thing better.

Those caramel apple suckers are my favorite. So bad for teeth, but so addictive.

I much prefer caramel apples to candy ones! Oh I like the candy once, but caramel and apple go so well together.

Candy corn lovers unite! lol People hate on it so hard, but I love it. It’s really good if you take dry roasted nuts and candy corn and mix them in a bowl to put out for people at a party or something. (The salty/sweet combo of it makes them taste just like a PayDay bar!) Yum. 🙂
My fave was also considered an unpopular choice by many: the orange and black wrapped “peanut butter kisses” that everyone calls “old people candy”. lol It’s like peanut butter taffy. So good. Sure, they suck when they’re stale/hard, but so does any candy.
I don’t think I’ve ever actually tried the cute little pumpkin candies you posted about. I’ll have to change that this year and go hunt down a bag!

I love candy corn, too! The pumpkins are similar in texture, but the taste is mellower (hence the mellowcreme lol). Mmm, I like sweet and salty like bacon covered in syrup or salted caramel over ice cream. Oh, I knew I should’ve stopped at the store for sweets tonight D:
I’ve never had that “old people” candy! But watch out talking about peanut butter. You KNOW Cupcakes and Machetes will cut a bitch for some PB :p

lmao That she will! Salted caramel may just be one of the best things to ever happen to mankind. I love anything with salted nuts and caramel. Sweet and salty, a combination that just can’t be beat! 😀

I’m not ashamed to admit I use salted caramel sauce on chocolate chip cookie dough ice cream #judgeme

I’m recovering from Thanksgiving now so I really shouldn’t be thinking about delicious calories…
I always enjoyed Rockets. They have a bit of a sour kick. Those and absolutely anything with chocolate in it.

That’s why I kept hearing about Thanksgiving! I was super confused because we don’t have ours until November so I’m like “What is going on?” Recovering from delicious food is how I like to live my life hehe.
What kind of candy are Rockets? Anything with chocolate is a gift directly from heaven.

Yeah, us Canadians have our early, eh! *sighs in shame*
Rockets might be another Canadian thing since I can only find them on Canadian sites: http://www.rocketscandy.ca/products/rockets/
Mmm… chocolate.

We have these! They’re called smarties down here, but I think I have seen Rockets. I always thought they were bigger smarties.
