A weekly post updated every Tuesday detailing my current gaming projects. I have quite a backlog of games to either play or watch, and I’m hoping a weekly article will assist with my progress as my other accountable posts have done with reading and writing.

I’m starting to get into a rhythm with this game. I start it up, send and receive my friend gifts, summon a unit if I have enough friend points to do so, check the daily deals, purchase the four available cactuar (experience) units, buy the 100 lapis 30k gil bundle, and redeem my rewards including the daily one (I try to log in at least once a day even if I don’t play). Then I upgrade some units, and I’m trying to figure out an organization for that like just enhancing one at a time. After that I check my open missions and then go out into the world.
I want to start concentrating on awakening my units, but for that I need to collect awakening materials like Heaven Ash and Sacred Crystals, which randomly drop in the Chamber of Awakening in the Vortex. I may make a spreadsheet for this, though I know I said I’d make one for the characters. I realized this was an uphill and futile task since I draw and fuse characters constantly, so they’re never static. The idea is still in the back of my head, but since I also can’t think of the best way to do it, I’m going to leave it for now.
I’m in the Lanzelt Ruins right now for anyone else who’s playing, too. I’m not as far along as a lot of people, and I really want to know why some of the announcements are spoiling the story! Like saying things about Fina, one of the main characters. I just kind of skim through it and go back just to remove the notification (I hate those), but I want to work on my characters before I continue on with the story.
I really, really wish they’d give you the option of paying for a particular character you wanted, though I suppose I could spring for 5000 lapis and the 11 draw. Maybe that will be my weekly FFBE budget. Granted with my luck I’ll do that and still not get Setzer. I ask again; how am I going to have my white haired pretty boy band if I don’t get him and (hopefully) eventually Sephiroth?!

I completed Chapter 2 of this this week, and this game is so addictive. Once I started the chapter, I couldn’t stop until I had opened the puzzle box. I’m going to try to do Chapter 3 with minimal hints. Three’s a Room 2 and 3 out, and something tells me that they probably cost money. Reel them in with a free sample then charge them once they’re addicted.

I finished watching the siege of the Citadel where *spoiler* Shepherd kills the traitor Udina, never liked that guy anyway, and then that scene with Thane ;_; *end spoiler* I’m not going to lie; I got a bit misty, especially when *spoiler* his son *end spoiler* read that beautiful prayer along with Shepherd. It can never be said that Mass Effect does not evoke a strong emotional response.

That prayer in Mass Effect 3… oh man… I loved how they captured the camaraderie between Shepard and Thane (or the deep connection if he was romanced). So well done.
I’m still exploring Andromeda. I also picked up Horizon: Zero Dawn, so I’m officially a crazy person playing two huge RPGs at the same time. Oh, and I played the demo for Prey, which I’ll be talking about in a post later this week….
Also… Abzu is free right now? Excuse me, I need to go sign in to my account…

I teared up. It was so heartbreaking. That let’s player hadn’t romanced Thane, but I can only imagine how much deeper it would be if he (playing Fem Shep) had.
I’m reading six books right now, so I understand the craziness lol.
Right?! My husband just saw it on the PSN. I’ve been waiting for that game to go on sale forever. I would’ve been happy with paying $5, but free is even better!

I love games like that though. The ones you really want to come back to, and that are long haul games. I spent over 200 hours on World of Final Fantasy, and it was so worth the $60 I spent!

Oh! If you haven’t tried it yet (which I’m pretty much sure you have) try playing Chrono Trigger on an SNES emulator! 😍 I watch Soviet Womble’s videos when I’m bored. 😂

I do think that you have to pay for the next two Room games which is annoying but the second one is pretty cheap so I’m considering it.

I’d be okay with that! The game is really good, so I’m cool with supporting them. It’s a decent business strategy, too lol. A lot of authors utilize it. They’ll give away their first book or sell it for really cheap, then the prices on the next books will be higher once readers are hooked. I still have two more chapters of The Room to get through, so I’ve got some time before I buy the next one.

Mass Effect 3 has quite a few moments that tug at the heartstrings. Thanks for the reminder by the way. I had forgotten to download underwater Journey for free.

Oh most definitely. I’m sure that’s not the last one I’ll see either. I know how it ends, but I’m enjoying seeing the things I missed in between.

It’s all about the daily routine in freemium games. I had to take a break for a few days since it was getting a tad repetitive. I hope the game will hold my attention long enough to see the story. I’m sure if I summoned a certain character it would spark my interest in the game again though, haha.
And what’s up with the spoilers? It’s like they assume most players are done all the main quest content already.

It really is. I at least want to log in every day to get my daily reward. I haven’t done very much in the past few days besides spend my NRG on doing the Chamber of Awakening. I really want to advance my characters and for that I need Sacred Crystal and Heaven Ash.
Right?? I think they’re basing it on when the game originally came out and figuring anyone who started then would be around that point if not beyond. I don’t know why they didn’t consider that people might have started later hmph.

It is! I think you have to have PS+ though. I felt bad that I didn’t make that specific, d’oh. It’s still available for free, too. We picked it up the other day.
WordPress does some weird stuff. For a while it was marking certain comments as spam then Yahoo! decided that all WP emails were spam, and that’s where they went. I figured that out the same way you did because I wasn’t getting my normal email notifications. Like nothing on Sunday or Monday, which are big days for them. I still check my spam filter, because I’m still finding notifications in there!
