Progress: Chapter 3 – Expert Mission – United Front
I just started Chapter 3 and was giving access to an eidolon (Shiva I think) in addition to an optional expert mission north of the Togoreth area. I initially walked all the way up there anyway (well, I rode a chocobo all the way up there) for another mission only to find out the prerequisite for that is the United Front task. I’m glad it’s easy to get back to Akademia, but I wish faster travel would open up already. I did manage to breed some war chocobos, so there’s that. Right now nothing is attacking me while I’m on the birds, but I suspect the roaming monsters in the Togoreth region might very well do so.
I called it quits because it was almost 9:00 and I have more to do, but I think after I complete the Expert Mission, I’m going to go back and redo some of the earlier ones in order to make more gil and harvest more phantoma. Apparently, replaying earlier missions is the only real way to earn gil in the game, according to the Google.

Combining action/adventure and RPG elements has always been a popular paradigm. This game is quite full of surprises, and you’re never quite sure what’s going to happen next. You might be offered a plate of spaghetti or be attacked by a man-fish lol.
Games Added to Backlog: 6
- Picross S – I can’t remember if this one another one of Mr. Panda’s recommendations or not, but it wasn’t on my OneNote list o.O
- Rudra no Hihou – Who the hell recommended this one to me?? I’m seriously cracking up. Oh god, I hope it wasn’t The Otaku Judge…I’m constantly forgetting his recommendations! D: D: D: Also, I’m hoping I can find this on a rom somewhere, since it only seems to be available on the SNES.
All of the below games were (definitely) recommended me by the one and only Mr. Panda after I posted about my soon-to-come 3DS, and I couldn’t appreciate it more!
- Animal Crossing: New Leaf
- Final Fantasy Explorers
- Mario & Luigi: Paper Jam
- Puzzle and Dragons
Total Games in Backlog: 161
Change from Last Week: +6
Games Added to Watch List: 1
- System Shock – Okay…this was recommended by someone, because I remember asking if it had any connection to BioShock, and the person answered that if it did, the fore mentioned would be a prequel. I usually keep all of my recommendations in a list, and I’m just really dropping the ball. If you were the one to tell me about this game, just let me know and I can always update this post.
Total Games on Watch List: 42
Change from Last Week: +1
Miscellaneous
In more “my blogger friends are awesome” news, the queen of game acquisition Hungry Goriya (who must have a collection bigger than anyone in either Canada or the US) was gracious enough to send me two of her surplus games: Final Fantasy II on the PSP and Final Fantasy Tactics for the PlayStation. I now have a copy of the former for that system, and I have an original and physical copy of the latter! I couldn’t be happier, and I really appreciate the early Christmas gift 😀
I’d include a picture, but the games are currently somewhere in the jungle of my coffee table, and there’s a delicate, precarious balance going on there that I’m loath to disturb, so I’ll try to show you all next week!
What are you currently playing and/or watching? Is it something new or old? Is it a first time run or a replay? What’s the genre? Would you recommend it? What’s on your radar to play next?

200cc is bloody difficult, it particularly freaks me during the live online races. What is this “braking” nonsense?! Anyway, I’ve been on Stardew Valley these days to taking an MK8 break. Plus… the new Mario next week and it looks amazeballs!

It was wild and so much fun. Once I played 200cc everything else seems slow.
I need to remember to preorder to new Mario.

Yeah, it seems like it’s going to be incredible. 10/10 from the legendary Edge Magazine here in the UK!

How could you forget my recommendation? Haha, just kidding. I have no idea what Rudra no Hihou is.
Right now I am playing/reading Chaos;Child on Vita. It’s started well, but now I am stuck on a puzzle were you place photos on a map. The game isn’t out in the US so I have no one I can ask for advice. Noooo.

Not even the Google? Usually the Google knows all!

I’ve never heard of Spellcaster before, I’m going to have to look that one up.
FYI, Bioshock is a spiritual successor to System Shock but they aren’t directly related.
As for what I’ve been playing, mostly Destiny & Destiny 2, with a smattering of LEGO Dimensions in there for good measure.

I never did either! It’s a game on the Sega Master System, which means I’ve probably never heard of it let alone played it. I know a little bit about the Genesis and have played some of the more popular games on that, but the SMS is really foreign to me.
That makes a LOT of sense about BioShock and System Shock just from the description of the game I read.
How is LEGO Dimensions? I haven’t heard of that one.

LEGO Dimensions is fun, it is the toys-to-life game but unlike Disney Infinity or Skylanders, it is a solid core game and the toys are truly LEGO that you have to build.

Oh, awesome! You added Treasure of the Rudras to the list. Hope you end up liking it!
