Pink rose covered in dewSome minor setbacks these past two weeks (I was tired), but I came to a decision about a particular conversation.  I wasn’t sure about it, but it led into some important territory and lines I liked so I decided to keep it.  It’s been a struggle to edit, because the specific topic is very close to current events let alone the entire story, but I’m going to keep trying.  This is also probably the most controversial chapter in the story, but IDGAF.

Project: Story Audio Recording
Northern Lights
Genre: Paranormal Romance
Type: Fanfiction (FFVII) Novel
Status: Visual Development
Progress: Image picking and ordering

I’m trying to figure out the best images for the blurb right now based on what I’ve chosen.  If everything works out, I could have it completed before my status update next week.

In Progress

  • Game Review: Final Fantasy V – I’ve finally finished the story summary section, but I need to go back and add in my two cents about it.  With FFIV I did a Story Analysis afterwards, but I’m not sure if I’m going to do that with this one.  I’ll see how I feel when I get back to it (with copious amounts of coffee).
  • Final Fantasy Character Assessment – Y’all…so as mentioned last week I was working on Freya Crescent’s assessment, but when I went back to figure out her Major Arcana, I decided I needed to replay Final Fantasy IX before I could give the most accurate, informed response.  In fact I want to replay everything after VI before I do any character assessments from those games.  I’m comfortable with my knowledge of the overarching general meaning and symbolism of the stories, but I want to have a fresh experience with better notes before I do any more analysis of them.  This is the same way I feel about any essays as well, which is why I’ve made a master list of everything I want to read, watch, or play, etc.  Prior Final Fantasies are still fair game though, so I’ve chosen Kain Highwind as my next assessment project.
  • Book Review: Saga, Vol. 8 – What’s funny about this is I just started reading Volume 9.  I didn’t start reviewing graphic novels as full series until after I started Saga, and it doesn’t make sense to stop the singe volume reviews with it now.
  • Blogger Tags: The Three Things – A fun little tag from Cupcakes and Machetes about favorites in triplicate.

Today is actually my wedding anniversary.  Of course I got married on the 7th.  I was going to get married on 7/7/17, but I wasn’t able to charter a reliable time machine so 10/7/11 it was.  I have to do laundry and my husband is about to go grocery shopping, but as long as I have cake by the end of the day, I won’t blow up the planet.  Adulting sucks.  I have to clean the litter boxes today, too.  Cid is currently hanging out in the litter liner because of course he is.

A chubby brown tabby in a cardboard boxHe’s so adorable and annoying, so I guess being an adult isn’t all bad.

How are your Halloween costumes coming along?  I’m going to be a cat.  I might as well use my $120 a piece Sephiroth contact lenses for something, because I’m not doing that cosplay anytime soon (I need a lot more stuff).  The Halloween party I usually go to is early this year on the 20th, so I’m glad I pretty much have everything.

  2. I understand the tiredness . . . I don’t want to get all political in your comments but blech, reading future supreme court opinions is going to be some next-level twilight-zone vibes.

I am glad your kitties are well! I got one about a month ago and she got really sick yesterday (couldn’t keep anything down, was hiding in dark corners and just not her usual bubbly self) so I had to take her to an emergency vet, who ran some tests but found nothing specific. After some iv fluids and anti-nausea meds she’s much better today, so we’ll see how it goes. *fingers crossed*

    • That is definitely one of the reasons I’m tired. I’m kind of happy most of my blogger friends aren’t talking about, but I’m also kind of happy the Evil Wizard is. It’s nice to have some place to vent about it, and yeaaaaaah…you’re studying law. Oof. What a mess.

Cid is my little butterball, but we’ve been having similar issues with Garnet just not on that scale. She throws up all the time, and I really need to call the vet since they’re the ones who wanted us to switch their food. Science Diet does have a sensitive stomach formula so we might give that a try. Cats are so tricky because they try not to show when they’re sick. I wonder if you’re kitty ate something that didn’t agree with her but it passed through her system ad the anti-nausea meds helped.

      • I am hoping she just licked some soap or something, but I will also look into Science Diet in case she is sensitive (thank you so much for the recommendation). So far I have been feeding her baby food per the vet’s instructions and a tiny bit of kibble when she asks for it too.

        • Garnet likes to lick plastic bags, which is something Kin-mei used to do. I have NO clue why cats do that. Googling it just suggests they like the taste of the chemicals in it. Cats are so weird and we know much less about them then you’d think.

You’re welcome! I noticed it when I went to PetSmart and considered it as an option for my plight.

  3. Awww, haha Cid is so cute! I love his little face! ❤ My cat is also a master of being both troublesome and cute. I swear, it's her specialty.
My Halloween costume is almost ready. Just need some tights and to nail down how I want to do the makeup for it. (My boyfriend and I are going to this big Halloween theater thing this year so we're dressing up in all black and white and doing skull face paint. I don't normally do a lot of face paint for Halloween, but I'm looking forward to seeing how it turns out. 🙂

    • He really has the most adorable tiny face and he’s SUCH a pain in the ass lol.

I need to find these vampire fangs I bought a few years ago for a vampire costume because I’m going as a kitty cat. It’s one of the simplistic costumes, but I fond these cat paw mittens and I can just wear a black jump suit.

Oooooh I hope you post pictures! I love skull makeup. Speaking of Cid again, I’m actually going to model my eye makeup after him lol. He has the best eyeliner in the house!

  4. Oops! Hit “post comment” before I was finished writing. (The penalty to going online before you’ve had any caffeine in the morning, apparently!) 😛
I’d also wanted to tell you and your other half Happy Anniversary! ❤ I know it's a little belated on my part, but I hope you got that cake you were wanting! 🙂
