Project: Story Audio Recording
Title:
Northern Lights
Genre: Paranormal Romance
Type: Fanfiction (FFVII) Novel
Status: Recording
Progress: Recording Chapter 1

Unfortunately, I have nothing new to report.  I’ve had neither the voice nor the time to record.  I’ll give it a try tomorrow, but I took that one medicine that ruins my voice so it’s dicey.  Spring has sprung, though, so I’m hopeful the recording will occur within the next month.

In Progress

  • TV Show Review: The Umbrella Academy – I think I need to reassess how I’m going to do this.  I’m currently summarizing the story, and I honestly don’t feel like I need to do that.  I want to get more to talking about the show rather than telling you about the show.  I always fall into this though lol.
  • Game Review: Oxenfree – Still going through the edit.
  • Book Review: The Habitation of the Blessed by Catherynne M. Valente – I’ve started the review proper and will hopefully have it finished before the next update.

I’ve been so unproductive lol.  It was the same last week, wasn’t it?  My blog is just status updates and that one tag, and this is another one that I had to “post” date.  In my defense I’ve been a bit busy in the “real” world.  This weekend was my bestie’s bachelorette party, and we went up to Jim Thorpe in the Poconos (mountains).  We stayed at an Airbnb that was really nice and went out drinking in town.  She had a great time, and Jim Thorpe is so quaint and adorable.  I want to go back when it’s spring summer and the mountains are covered in green ♥

My sister-in-law’s baby shower is in a couple of week’s and the BFF’s wedding is April 20th, so I might still be a bit scattered the next month, but I’m excited for better weather.  I want to start training to run a 5k again (even though my entire body hurts from just…doing more than just working/sitting here), and my lungs will be much better when the warm weather persists.  I found a pair of sneakers at Dick’s Sporting Goods that are a bit expensive (over $100), but they’re specifically for running with an emphasis on support, so I think they’re worth the money.

Have you ever been in a wedding?  How many?  Do you have any wedding stories you’d like to share?

  2. I’m glad the weather is getting better (here too!). You should totally take the time to enjoy the spring weather before the summer heat hits (and not feel guilty about the writing). 🙂

I’ve only been to two weddings, one for a school friend (technically it was just the reception because the actual ceremony was private, but it was really crowded, loud, and busy). The second was for my brother and his wife; again, they had the actual ceremony be just them and the officiator, but then our families all got together afterward and took pictures and went to eat. It was laid back and really nice.

    • Spring is so short lately, too D: You have that sweet spot where it’s warm but not too hot/humid. That’s the best time to take walks/jog and I want to get back into that.

I think laid back weddings are the best kind. Every wedding I’ve ever been to or heard of has some kind of drama lol. Not even the bride or whatever, but someone gets upset because they weren’t included, forgetting it’s not about them.

    • It would be absolutely wild if we ran into her. We did kind of make friends in one of the bars. This one woman named Amanda who was a 40 year old teacher and her wilder friend with braces Rachel. We were going to go to this 80’s bar, but they talked us out of it for this hole in the wall dive with WAY too much smoke *cough cough*
