Progress: Third edit of Chapter 16

The third edit is going smoothly, and I was also able to make the chapter cover in these past two weeks.  I reached out to the artist for permission, and she got back to me quickly with a yes 🙂

I’m still not sure if I’m going to post this when I finish the edit or if I’m going to wait and post three chapters at once.  I’ve been working on it since March, and I kind of want to have another chapter out there, but I also don’t want to add things in later if my notes or later chapters would fit better here.  I’m not seeing that as a problem right now, so I’m more inclined to post when I’m done.

Project: Story Audio Recording
Title: Northern Lights

I finished my first listen through of Chapter 1 – Part 1.  All I did this time around was pick and choose what sounded best, deleting the rest. I need to re-record one part of a paragraph again.  I did that addendum, but I didn’t like the way any of it sounded, and, well, you know my perfectionism lol.  I was hoping to get it done this Saturday, but it’s a pain in the ass to move all my equipment to the other room (it’s the same reason I haven’t done any test streams on my Switch).  I don’t have Tuesdays and Fridays to myself anymore since bowling ending for my husband, so I’ll have to figure out some time where I can have him be quiet for a half hour lol.

My plan is to remove all of the duplicate readings of things after picking the one I like best for all of the parts.  Once that’s done, I’ll put them all together in one large file, and then figure out the “timing” aka how much empty space I want between certain sentences/phrases.  The spacing is all over the place right now, and I want to make sure it has the proper resonance.  After that, I’ll work on the sound quality then add in music and images, so it’s still going to be a while.

• Book Reviews: The King of Elfland’s Daughter by Lord Dunsany – Shit…I think I could’ve posted this before doing the SOTW, because I only need to do an edit/proofread.  Ah well…it’ll pad my achievements next time I suppose.

I love living in Pennsylvania…the weather is SO stable *sarcasm mode activated*  I know this year has been worse than others because my lungs are, once again, informing me of it.  The constant temperature and humidity changes are going to be the death of me.  I was feeling so well, too D:
