Progress: Chapter 18 Posted

Being lazy today with the status post since I just posted the 18th chapter.  I think that’s enough said for lol.  I’m pretty happy I’ve edited and posted two chapters in a month, so I can’t say I accomplished nothing this vacation.  I intend to start working on Chapter 19 as soon as possible of course.  It’s a chapter I know at least one person has been anticipated for a long time, and it’s so goddamn satisfying even to me.  I’ve done something like this in every single one of my stories, and it’s cathartic because there’s not much I can do in real life.  Expect it to be over the top…because it is.

“Why do you hate them so much, general?”

He snapped up, revealing surprise.  “Hate them?  My Aeris, oh no, never hate.  I fear the dark truth they may veil…”

Her lips parted in query she didn’t need ask, as her general sighed again.

“Those stars are ever cold to me.  They have as much warmth as my eyes.  They are frigid and empty, but between in far worse.  The darkness they pierce could bleed horrors.”  He was caught in the weft of his rueful words and did not see the tears on soft cheeks.  “Every so often I force my gaze up, and search the night for my greatest fear, but it’s already come.  It’s already fallen…and I had no choice but to do the same.”

*sigh*  I just haven’t been in the head space to write this.  What I need to do is take a full day, immerse myself in the Pinterest boards I created specifically for this story and go to town.  I think that might be Monday’s plan.

Project: Story
Working Title:
The High Archon
Genre: Paranormal Romance
Type: Original Novel
Status: Organizing

The depressing state of our world makes me think about more and more about this story because it’s kind of me figuring out how to either forestall or “fix” these issues.  Not that I know anything, but it’s something to do.

Project: Story Audio Recording

Northern Lights
Genre: Paranormal Romance
Type: Fanfiction
Length: Novel
Fandom: Final Fantasy VII
Status: Recording
Progress: First edit of Chapter 1

I did about half of what I needed to re-record and I’m hoping to finish it up this Tuesday.

In Progress

  • Essay: The Burning Bells – New title for the GOT finale/FFVII comparative essay.  I reread my Unfinished Seventh essay and skimmed my Heart of Darkness essay (I really need to update that one.  Whew, on one hand I’ve become a much better writer, but that essay is ROUGH compared to where I am now).  Next step is rereading the House of the Undying chapter in ASOIAF to see if there’s some comparison with Dany’s visit there and the Oracle of Delphi in Oedipus Rex.
  • Book Review: The Last Stitch Goes Through the Nose by Moses Norton – I think I have all of my points on the page; I just need to edit and make sure it all flows properly.

Ehhhh, so I’m not making nearly as much progress as I’d like, but who’s surprised by that lol.  I should finish my re-recording by this Tuesday then I can start editing it (again…).  I plan to work on Ethereal Blue Monday.  I’m going to troll my Pinterest boards and get myself in that mind space, and I also carved out time to work on the essay and do anther test stream.  I’ll talk more about that in my game status post.
