Progress: Chapter 19 Second Edit
Okay, so I might have lied a little bit, though not intentionally, which means it’s not really a lie, is it? It’s more like I gave the information I had at the time, and that information changed. Chapter 19 will not featured one of my favorite and definitely most vengeful part of the story. I decided to do some rearranging because I wasn’t thrilled with how the next chapter started, so I combined parts of Chapter 20 with the original Chapter 19, which means the beginning part of the latter is now going to be its own chapter, and Chapter 19 is now going to be Chapter 20. If that doesn’t make any sense, don’t worry about it. I’m planning to post both Chapters concurrently, so you’ll still get what I promised; in fact, you’ll get more 🙂
“The flower maid swallowed as for a sharp moment all the warmth was sucked from the room. This was something beyond his “general’s” voice. This was a voice to fill souls with need. The Cetra could not know to whom Sephiroth spoke, but she knew without doubt, if he so commanded, they’d throw themselves into the sea. He closed his eyes for the space of a moment and bowed his head before slivers found her. They were ringed by emerald, through now cold light that could only adore. Aeris smiled up, unsure why she’d been troubled as he caught her little hand.”

Progress: Chapter 1
It’s been difficult gathering the energy/inspiration to write this. I have plenty of places to go for the latter, but the former tends to fall by the way. What I need is a quiet day to myself where I get up at a decent hour, eat a good breakfast, and just dive into my Pinterest full of inspiration pics, possibly read the (sadly few) stories I’ve found in the ship like this one, and use that as impetus to write. The linked story is actually perfect tbh, and I need to make sure I throw a credit link towards the author since my fic uses a similar scene just in a different order.
Project: Story
Working Title: The High Archon
Genre: Paranormal Romance
Type: Original
Length: Novel
Status: Organizing
I was thinking about this story yesterday in terms of Preptober and other things, and I had one of those ideas that’s a MAJOR game changer, though it wouldn’t take much more work for me to implement (especially since I haven’t written it yet). It would alter the main character’s mental state around her decision, yet pave the way for an even greater poignancy in the face of tragedy. I need to figure out more stuff for it (and maybe run it past a few people), but I think it’s the right direction.

Progress: First edit of Chapter 1
So far things seem good on the editing front. I’ve gone through what I recently recorded, weeding out what was needed. Next step I believe is to go through all the parts in order and work on the timing of the phrases.
In Progress
- Book Review: Peddling Doomsday by Petra Jacobs – I haven’t had a chance to work on this, and it may end up on the Hold list since I have another project I need to concentrate on.
On Hold
- Essay: The Burning Bells – There’s another essay I need to write before I go back to this. I’m hoping I can bang that one out quickly, but I’m struggling because the emotional baggage it comes with is the heaviest shit I carry
I don’t have much to add right now except I’m hoping you’re all enjoying the first day of autumn/fall 🙂

As usual, I am very much looking forward to more TBR and hearing more about your other projects as they develop! Maybe I should start doing updates on my projects too (though I feel like when I don’t have any progress it would be hard to share ha). We’ll see. I’m still getting used to my work schedule, though having no homework is a big plus.

I feel like I’m more likely to work on something if I have to give a progress update hehe. I’m hoping to get some work done on TBR today. I did get some work done on the Zelda fic, but better yet, I know what I’m going to work on next with it. That’s my biggest issue, knowing what I’m going to do when I have time for the next session. Lol, when I don’t have progress, I bemoan that fact and my fellow writers all nod and commiserate :p Don’t beat yourself up. You’ve accomplished a LOT ♥
