What I DNFed

It just makes sense to declare DNF on this.  I’ll start writing the essay review on it as soon as I can, which will probably be December at this point.

What I’m Playing

Title: Etrian Odyssey Untold: The Millennium Girl
Series Title: Etrian Odyssey
System: Nintendo 3DS

Date Started: 6/30/19

I’m still muddling through this, trying to defeat this lightning dragon.  It’s the exact same problem I had in Super Mario Odyssey *groan* but I don’t think my big brother can help me out this time lol.  It’s this optional boss called the Storm Emperor; however, even though he’s optional, once I beat him, it’ll unlock levels past 70 because yes, this game has that, too, ugh.  I think if I hadn’t switched my Highlander to a Landschenct and back again, I’d have the attack power to take him down quicker, but as it is, he’s only around level 40 instead of being in the high 60’s or 70 with the rest of them.  I’ve also rested and reassigned abilities to my Protector numerous times, and my Medic and Gunner now, as well.  I think I can take down this boss, but his attacks are just so devastating.  What I may do is grind a bit in the third stratum.  There’s this Medusa Tree enemy that’s easy to knock out now, and they give good experience.  I just want my Highlander at a high enough level where his attacks take off a significant portion of HP.

What I Played

• Pic-a-Pix Deluxe
• Tetris 99 – Thanks to Professional Moron for pointing me in the direction of the DLC which allows you to play on your own!  That was something I was sorely upset with about this game, since I just wanted to play Tetris solo and now I can!  I think my record so far is slightly over 300 lines.

Let’s Plays

• Bowser’s Inside Story (Olizandri on YouTube) – One of only two games where you get to play as the glorious King of Evil.  The Let’s Player Olizandri honestly does the BEST Bowser voice of all time.  He should voice act him tbh.
• Super Paper Mario (Olizandri on YouTube) – There were almost 60 videos and I think I watched it all in like three days.  I love that game so hard.  I love the tragic story and how Bowser is legitimately considered one of the four heroes of it.  I wish there were more games where you can play as the King of Evil hehe; the only other one is Bowser’s Inside Story.
• Mario & Luigi: Paper Jam (Olizandri on YouTube) – I only watched a few videos of this, but I intend to go back to it.  It’s a really cool mash up of Mario & Luigi RPGs and Paper Mario.  I’ve seen it before but I’m on a Mario RPG kick.
• Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney (Olizandri on YouTube) – Omg watching Oliz play this after I’ve played them all is fantastic.  I’m picking up little tidbits and foreshadowing that’s amazing, and holy god, is this game gay as hell.  I’m not using the insulting 90’s version of the term, because “gay” isn’t and shouldn’t be an insult; I mean Phoenix and Edgeworth.  O.M.G.  Like Edgeworth has a chess set with red and blue pieces and there are red pieces surrounding a spiky haired blue one.  He also has a flowerpot with a triple lacy ascot on it ROFL.  I CAN’T MAKE THIS SHIT UP.  It’s amazing.  I love it so hard.

I still need to retry streaming on the PC.  I don’t have time this weekend because we’re heading over to my in-laws for my husband’s birthday (it’s Tuesday), and I think I’m going to try to make Oktoberfest food on Monday before he gets home from work.  I found this awesome recipe for this one pot dish that has bratwurst and potatoes.  I’m happy that Germans love flavorful food unlike some other Europeans :p
