Christmas is hard.  I much prefer Advent.  At least I can feel like I’m getting ready for something instead of waiting for the inevitable deadline of December 25, and I know that last thing I said made no sense, but I’m in that kind of mood.  Now we’re at the truly best time of the year: after Christmas but before New Year’s where time literally has no meaning, I can sit around on my trash throne eating cookie dough, and I don’t owe anyone a damn thing.

I’m still in my first edit of Chapter 21, but I believe I’ve added in all the extra stuff I needed and I’m just purely editing now.

The fallen could only bow his head in respect and reject of her words.  “I’m not whole, Aeris.”  The wing drew sad gaze.  “And never have been, little rose.  I’ve always been broken.  I’ve no other truth, and yet…you still love me, my Aeris…”

“How could I not?  All you’ve done for me….”

All I’ve done to you…  It could not be said.  Not now, not yet, he’d more to confess so she could judge him for all crimes.

Ten minutes left to listen to.  Then…probably another listen to make sure it all sounds right in terms of time.  Next I want to try to match the quality since it was recorded at different times, and I can tell the difference in quality between some of the sessions.

On Hold

  • Book Review: Dune by Frank Herbert – I was working on it when I just didn’t feel like doing it anymore.  That’s why I knocked out the two graphic novel reviews these past two weeks.  When my shit brain doesn’t want to do something, there’s not much I can do to make it, so I figured my energy would be better spent on other things.  It’s not like I don’t have plenty, and I can always move onto others if I don’t feel like doing the one that’s up next.

In Progress

  • Game Review: Final Fantasy VI – I did start the Gameplay section, but I haven’t finished it yet.

At least five people have told me I have to watch The Witcher, because Geralt is a white haired pretty boy, so I watched the first half hour of the first episode, and while it’s okay, I’m not into him because he’s not pretty enough lol.  I like Henry Cavill as an actor and can see the appeal, but as I’ve said quite often at this point, he’s not appealing to me.  He looks better with dark hair.  Not everyone is meant to bear the holy silver hair.  I don’t make the rules; I just judge people by them *shrug*  I was also told that the first episode is a bit slow but it picks up in the second, so I’m going to probably watch the rest of it tomorrow at work just to get it done.  What I’ve been really into is The Good Place.  Hooooly shit.  So, this was another situation where I started watching something and liked it, but kinda stopped, but then when I picked it up again, something major happened that made me really get into it, and then I binged watched the rest and looked for any and all takes on it.  The fourth season is the final, but it’s not finished yet, so now I have to wait until January to see how it all turns out.  Oh and the memes.  Seeing all the TGP memes spurred me on as well.  I keep seeing Witcher memes, so I’m going to have to keep up with that lol.  Oh, and I just saw Star Wars and fucking love it don’t @ me.  You know…sometimes I absolutely loathe when stories are predictable, but sometimes I absolutely love it, and I have no idea what causes the difference.  It might be the ones I like are fulfilling what I thought was going to happen or what I wanted to happen where the ones I hate have predictable things happen that I hate?  Ikd.  It also could just be that what occurs predictably makes sense with the narrative and I’m okay with that?  I’m honestly just word vomiting right now.  Like I just saw it like three hours ago so I’m still processing.  What I can say that’s non-spoilery is one, zomg BB-8; two, how is John Boyega even more adorbz; three, EMO SPACE BOYFRIEND ♥♥♥ also wtf is with villains carrying around heads of family members???  Why is that a thing??  Four, make sure you turn up your nostalgia filters to like a hundred and eleven.

I hope you all have a Happy New Year in all of your endeavors ♥

    • TGP picked up for me sometime in the middle of season 1, I think? Then I just binged watched until I caught up.

I don’t know what the hell it is about the new Star Wars. I know critically there are issues, but I just don’t care lol. It’s like “I know I should be totally calling stuff out, but ZOMG THE NOSTALGIA!!!” It might also be that the prequels were just…so…BAD that I’m willing to overlook a lot. I also think I have my back up because of the tons of bad faith reviews from angry fanboys. I want to see it again and re-watch the entire new trilogy. That’ll probably set off my critical sensors :p

      • It was definitely still better than the prequels but this last one, it was almost like you had to suspend belief that it was a Star Wars movie. Granted, some of the things that we had issues with could very well be in the books but if you’re going based solely on the movies it was a little WTF. I still enjoyed myself overall but to me, nothing will compare to the originals.

  2. That’s a lot of fricken’ editing to do. Massive job. Keep us posted. I’m thinking If you can do it, I can do it, when I get around to it. (If Ever!) Witcher: I couldn’t get through the first episode (like you said, Kinda slow…) but maybe I’ll tune in again and give it another chance. His silver hair didn’t bother me.

    • Keeping track of it really helps me keep up! If I know I have to be accountable.

I managed to get through the first episode! Lol. I’ve had friends tell me the second one is better, so I’ll give that a watch some time this week. I love silver hair and I’m usually totally into dudes with it (re: Sephiroth, Alucard, etc.) BUT they have to be pretty and Henry Cavill isn’t? Like he’s not hideous of course, but he’s not really my type. Now that MIGHT change because at the end of the first episode, he’s killing people and wreaking shit, and I’m kinda a sucker for that lmao. I hear the bard is introduced in the second episode with that really catchy song so we shall see.

I started watching Twin Peaks in the interim, a show I’ve never seen, and I’m REALLY into that now as I wait for The Good Place and BoJack Horseman to come back.
