A post updated every other Sunday discussing my current writing projects and any completed the prior two weeks.

Finished Projects: 1

Project: Story
Title:
The Broken Rose
Genre: Paranormal Romance
Type: Fanfiction
Fandom: Final Fantasy VII
Length: Novel
Current Word Count: 251,945
Prior Word Count: 252,040
Word Difference: -95
Status: Editing
Progress: First edit of Chapter 23

I would say I’m in the home stretch for this story because I only have two or three more chapters left, but that would be a lie.  There’s still SO much, and I might be splitting some parts up.  Something very important does happen in Chapter 23, something people have been bugging me about lol.  This chapter is…easier (?) to edit?  I don’t know if that’s the right term.  It’s more like I was reaching a pinnacle and I was in the zone when I wrote it, so a lot of it is very smooth.  There are still some patches that need some TLC, and I have a lot of things that need to be added, but it’s not like there’s a shortage of inspiration these days, am I right?

Project: Story Audio Recording
Title: Northern Lights
Genre: Paranormal Romance
Type: Fanfiction
Length: Novel
Fandom: Final Fantasy VII
Status: Editing
Progress: Adding sound effects to Chapter 1

Peeps, I don’t want to be super narcissistic, but I’m really loving so much of this audio recording.  I’m just worried about posting it anywhere due to copyright infringement :\  On one hand, it’s kind of similar to what I see in AMVs; on the other hand I don’t want to deal with legal troubles.  Eh, I’ll burn that bridge when I come to it.

I’m almost done adding sound effects to the chapter.  Afterwards I need to re-listen to it from the beginning, add anything additional, then work on the sound quality because that’s still kinda rough.  Once the sound/audio is good then I move on to the image portion.  It’s going to be similar to my slideshows just more extensive since I have to find around 40 minutes worth of images, but I actually love projects like this.  It’s like figuring out a big puzzle.

In Progress

  • Book Review: Dolor and Shadow (Tales of the Drui) by Angela B. Chrysler – I’ve reached the rant portion of this review.  In looking at others on Goodreads I’m not seeing the same spleen lol.  Though I didn’t specifically click on the ones with lower stars.  I like to do that in order to see if other people are saying similar things to me.  If they aren’t, I’m not all that pressed, though I’m a bit surprised because some of the things I’ve found are pretty egregious.
  • Game Review: Final Fantasy VI – I…haven’t been working on this much (for…reasons).  I think I’m still in the Magitek Research Facility during the escape.

My days currently consist of working (if it’s a weekday) while watching a Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney – Spirit of Justice LP, playing FFVIIR for around two hours (I start to feel dizzy and nauseated if I go for too long due to the camera movements), editing TBR, working on the audio recording for NL then playing FFVIII Remastered.  On the weekends I’ve been doing two two hour FFVIIR play sessions with a break in between.  I’ve pretty much put reviews on a hiatus until I finish the game.  I just can’t really concentrate on much that isn’t FFVII oriented, which I know to most of you seems like TSN’s normal, which ISN’T false, but it’s 1000% worse now.  I’ll talk more about my FFVIIR adventures in the SOTG update.  Now I must get back to it.  Midgar is calling.
