What I Demoed

• Bravely Default II – I absolutely loved this.  It’s so cute and almost fully voice acted.  I loved Elvis with his Scottish brogue, Adelle rocking an Irish lilt, and Gloria’s refined RP.  I’ll probably drop the $60 or so this costs when it comes out because I am a thot for Squeenix.
• The Almost Gone – I’m not sure how I feel about this.  The directions are a bit confusing since it goes room to room.  It’s also a little creepy with the weird ambiance background, and I jumped at the fridge part (Fridge Horror anyone?).  I get what it’s trying to do, but this may be a watch for me.

Sequel bait is sequel bait, but it’s absolutely cool.  The end is obviously not the end, and I”m hoping the next one comes out soon.  It’s almost like numerous games in one due to the variety of puzzles, and I can readily admit I solved some of them on sheer luck alone.

I didn’t actually finish it, but I’ve played enough considering I watched Olizandri go through the end.  I still have to play the original FFVII as well as finish FFVIIR, not to mention finish my review of FFVI THEN FFVII before I do the review on this, but I’ve played through it so I at least have that.  I might pick it up and actually play finish it myself in that interim since I still have some cards to collect, and I love Triple Triad.

The golf controls took me a bit to get used to.  I only really started playing this while waiting for the Bravely Default II download to finish.  It didn’t really grab me, but I’m going to give it a bit longer to catch my interest.

What I Played

• The Picross’ – I’m pretty much done with these.  They were fun, and I’m hoping they either release a new one or some DLCs.  I’m very fond of the color puzzles and wish there were more of them.
• Sudoky – Ugh, I’m SO glad this was only $0.69 and I just used my Gold Points to “buy” it.  There are far much better Sudoku games with much more intuitive controls.  This Switch version makes you use the left analog stick to scroll through the numbers, and either I have stupid fingers or this is a stupid ass idea because I didn’t work for me.
• Pic-a-Pix Deluxe – Am I back on my bullshit?  Yeah, I’m back on my bullshit.  I’ve been playing this more since I’ve run out of Picross puzzles to play.

My plan for today was to play some FFVIIR, but I didn’t wake up until 3:00 in the afternoon so we’ll see if that still happens lol.  I’m off today in observation of Independence Day, though I had a paranoid moment this morning.  I have this app for work that sends notifications and requests for responses, and because I received one today I thought maybe I’d goofed in thinking it was a holiday, but my supervisor reassured me after I texted him lol.  if I don’t get to FFVII today I’ll probably play it tomorrow on actual Independence Day.  It’s not like I’m going to a cookout or anything :p
