Holy shit, I couldn’t put this down, but I had to at night because I’m a fraidy cat.  Foxy is the greatest fucking character ever written, and this is up for my Book of the Year competing with Pestilence.  I did not understand why this has a rating under 4 stars on Goodreads, and reading the comments, I still don’t understand.  Apparently, some people found the mood whiplash to be unrealistic, like how Mouse would be making jokes in the most dire of circumstances.  Do these chuckle fucks not understand morbid/gallows humor?!!  That is EXACTLY how my terrified ass would be acting!  I am definitely reading more T. Kingfisher.

This is the second sample download that threw my Kindle schedule all out of whack, and I regret nothing with this either.  It’s another that has a less than stellar rating, and…I kinda get why, but I don’t quite agree with it.  Like it makes sense why all of the things happen.  There’s a LOT of bait and switch, and while I guess things do get a bit crazy in the end, I still think it’s an excellent story.

I did not realize this is the author of Lovecraft Country, which is now of course a show.  I haven’t watched it yet, because I need to mentally prepare myself, but it’s been on my to read list for a while.

This is one of the most longstanding books on my TBR list, all the way to 2014 but I’ve known about it for much longer.  My BFF in high school used to cart it around with her, and while I loved the cover, it was too hard sci-fi for me at the time, and I was a fantasy girl.  Now I’m trying to catch up, and the library is a great way to do that.

This is another Snow Queen retelling, which is one of my favorite fairy tales.  I think I’m going to replace my daily Kindle with this.  I just finished one, and I have a time limit on this since it’s borrowed.

I’m on my shiny new computer right now.  I had to start using it sooner than I’d planned, but I guess it’s good I was forced to.  It was sitting in front of my coffee table for over a week, and my husband could not understand how I wasn’t all over it, but new computers need to be set up and I just didn’t have the time…until I had to haha.  THAT was stressful.  I transferred all of my stuff and apparently it was set to go into OneDrive, which only has 5 GBs of space, so I kept getting all of these warning messages about it.  Then when I went to delete it, I deleted everything…including my OneNote stuff, which would’ve been bad.  So I had to go back through and restore files.  It was a pain, but things seem to be good now.  I still need to add files for iTunes, but I’ll get to that when I get to it.

Slow cookers are the greatest gift technology ever gave us.  I’m going to eat some chili and watch some YouTube.
