A weekly post updated every other Thursday detailing my current gaming projects. I have an account at Grouvee, which is a site you can use to keep track of your backlog, so please feel free to friend me there!
What I Demoed
No demos this time.
What I Purchased
No purchases this time.
What I Finished
Nothing this time.
What I’m Playing
Title: Etrian Odyssey Nexus
Series: Etrian Odyssey
System: Nintendo 3DS
Date Started: December 25, 2021
The difficulty on this one is a lot easier. Even story mode for some of the EO games can be brutal, but I would up taking down a boss I wasn’t really prepared for. It’s possible I’m over-leveled, but I don’t think I am.
What I Watched
- Olizandri
- Final Fantasy IV (3D) – This version has just as many random encounters, though I think it’s a little less challenging than the SNES original, which was brutal.
- CJUGames
- Insomnis – Pretty disturbing game about human experimentation on orphans.
I still have around $40 on my Nintendo eShop gift card and I want to use it to buy Bravely Default, but there’s a problem: I don’t have enough room on my 3DS, and you can’t buy something unless you have enough space for it. I can’t delete anything so I had to buy an SD card. Another Nintendo issue is if you apply a gift card you have to use it. There’s no option to choose another payment method. Like on Amazon I have a GC applied, but if I want to use cash I can. Nintendo doesn’t have the capability, so when I wanted to buy a little $7.99 game with PayPal, it would automatically take from my gift card when I want to save that for Bravely Default. It’s…annoying. Oh! Also the SD slot for the New Nintendo 3DS XL is behind a screwed in panel. They’re REALLY not making it easy. I received a Switch SD for Christmas, but you can’t use those in the 3DS. According to my Google search, you’re only supposed to use up to a 12 gig card on a 3DS (from Nintendo’s website), and the Switch one is a whooping 128 gigs! The 3DS card was pretty cheap though at only around $15, so it’s not that big of a deal, just a minor inconvenience.
If they release Tales of Berseria on the Nintendo Switch any time in the near future, I will 100% buy it for that system so I can play it easily.
