A weekly post updated every other Thursday detailing my current gaming projects.  I have an account at Grouvee, which is a site you can use to keep track of your backlog, so please feel free to friend me there!

What I Demoed

Nothing this time.

What I Purchased

Nothing this time.

What I Finished

Nothing this time.

What I’m Playing

Title: Triangle Strategy
Series: HD-2D Series
System: Nintendo Switch

Cover of Triangle Strategy

Date Started: March 20, 2022

“What I’m Playing” might be a misnomer because I haven’t played anything in over a month.  I started watching Olizandri’s Let’s Play and I’m currently pretty far past the part I stopped at.  He was able to make the persuasion I failed, but I noticed he used Erador in battle almost every time.  I also realized I misinterpreted certain moves and could’ve been doing a lot more, but there were some weird translations for all the game is decently written and pretty well voiced.

I still plan to play Voice of Cards soon, and I’ll talk more about this game in my “What I’m Watching” section.  I’ll more than likely put it on my DNF list by next week.

Title: Etrian Odyssey Nexus
Series: Etrian Odyssey
System: Nintendo 3DS

Cover of Etrian Odyssey NexusDate Started: December 25, 2021

I’m still not sure what I’m going to do with this one.  It’s kind of funny because I stopped playing Etrian Odyssey V: Beyond the Myth around the same place for about the same reason.  I was over levelled and it was close to the end.  I don’t know why I get over it by this point.  My main reason for playing these games is the relaxing mapping and exploration.  Who knows?

What I Played

  • Picross 2 – Playing this while watching an LP or Netflix is the best.  I will do all the things so no stray thoughts can fine me!
  • Uno – I’ll hopefully be playing this later when I do my little desk elliptical

What I’m Watching

  •  Olizandri
    • Legend of Heroes: Trails of Cold Steel II – I only watched the first video of this then he started posting videos of his Horizon Zero Dawn LP so this has gone on the backburner.  I definitely plan to go back to it.  I love these characters.
    • Grandia II – I’m trying to catch up on this one because I’ve spent so much time with HZD.
    • Horizon Zero Dawn – Just wow.  I don’t want to spoil too much so I’ll just say this: how can anyone fuck up so badly that a woman has to come BACK FROM THE DEAD a thousand years later in order to fix your mistakes?  If you’ve played the game you know what I’m talking about, and all I can say is Solarayo completely understood the reasons why I in particular would be so interested in the story, which would be a major spoiler so I’ll stfu about that.  I immediately found lore videos to watch as soon as I was done, but I need to avoid any of the ones about Frozen Wilds (which I’m watching now) and the sequel, which I hope to watch soon.
    • Horizon Zero Dawn: Frozen Wilds – Just started this and it already has a lot of promise.
    • Triangle Strategy – I keep finding Game of Thrones comparisons; I just hope the characters here are smarter than their counterparts, though there’s this one major instances where they are still so goddamn stupid lol.   Like how have you not figured this out yet?   There was just a major revelation that was pretty good actually.  Not that it was overly farfetched, but I wasn’t expecting it.
  • CJUGames
    • MUE – I’m glad I had a bit of a Bilingual Bonus in French, though I’ll admit I did utilize my good friend Google Translate.  The game is absolutely gorgeous, which is even more impressive as it’s an indie project.
    • The Witching Hour – I actually forgot about this game lol.  I check back through my YouTube history to see what games of his I’ve watched since they tend to be much shorter than Oliz’s playthroughs.  I often just start watching his videos based on recommendations on my front page, so I don’t always remember to go back.  I’ll have to continue with this.  The MC is a teenage girl who moved out to the country with her ailing dad and younger sister.  The dad is clearly keeping some stuff secret and the whole town is super sus.
    • We Never Left – This reminded me of Stories Untold but it had an interesting twist.  The VA is really  good, too.

I had this whole thing I was going to say.  Maybe about how I’m going to start playing Voice of Cards or something like that.  I have been itching to play something else, but my time has been really occupied with world-building in my WIP.  I may play some AVICII Invector tonight…I’m currently listening to his music right now.  How is it only Thursday when I even had a short week?
