A post updated every other Sunday discussing my current writing projects and any completed the prior two weeks.

Finished Projects: 0

Project: Story/Series
Working Title:
The High Archon (The Truth Seeker Chronicles)
Genre: Paranormal Romance
Type: Original
Length: Novel
Current Word Count: 11,282
Status: Reorganizing & Worldbuilding
Progress:
Updating character pages on Scrivener

This might be a bit bare bones this week because you have a grumpy TSN.  I stayed up until six this morning watching small animal vlogs and I didn’t wake up until seven so I’m cranky, hungry, sore, and out of sorts.  Anyway, let’s get this done.

I spent the past two weeks writing the history of the world/main demographic, and the foundation of everything is a bitter ex and a broken promise.  The bitter ex is the lady above Sariel Niss, or the closest picture I could find for her.  Now that I’ve written the world’s history, I can finish her character page on Scrivener.

I’ve also made some progress on a map.  The oceans are now in the right place lol.  I was trying to find a good map software online, but I really need some sort of visual aid before I could do something like that.  I may still pick up some software once I have more details ironed out, because I think it’ll be easier after that point.

Project: Story Audio Recording
Title: Northern Lights
Genre: Paranormal Romance
Type: Fanfiction
Length: Novel
Fandom: Final Fantasy VII
Status: Editing
Progress: Adding in sound effects

I’m not putting this on hold, but my focus really has been on The Truth Seeker Chronicles.  I think once I feel more comfortable with my progress on that I’ll pick this back up.

Project: Research & Essay Organization
Status: Organizing Essay Notes
Progress: Working through notes for FFVII & ASOIAF comparative essays

This is the other thing I devote most of my time on even if neither are on my schedule for the day.  I did go through the Final Fantasy Essays tab and it actually no longer exists lol.  I was able to incorporate the main essay about archetypes and time loops into the notes I already have about the collective unconscious (re: Joseph Campbell and Carl Jung), though I still have quite a few things to iron out. The archetype/time loop essay is for the entirety of the Final Fantasy series, but I put it into the tab devoted to ASOIAF and FFVII paradigm comparatives, buuuut I also have a ton of other narratives to reference.  I still think it belongs over there because I’ve come to the conclusion a lot of these essays are going to be a series of related ones.

Project: Author Website
Name: Adrienne’s Authorly Adventures
Status: Active
Progress: Updating

Still fumbling around like a baby bird with this.  I have at least been posting this update on it.  I’m honestly not that pressed about it.  I think it will become more useful when I’m closer to publishing something.  I have been sharing what I post there to my main page so that more people are seeing it.

In Progress

  • Game Reviews: Final Fantasy VI – I’m still making excellent progress with this.  I really hope I can finish it before the end of this month.
  • Book Review: Childhood’s End by Arthur C. Clarke – I haven’t done much work on this since I’ve been wrapped up in my series and essays, but I hope to finish it soon.

I think I’m supposed to do 20 crunches today and I was supposed to do 15 yesterday.  I don’t think the 20 is happening.  I’ll start that tomorrow.  I like the crunch challenge I found. It’s way easier than the others I was doing, topping out at 70 because it’s for beginners.

Alright, I think I’m going to go.  I have more things to do and people keep messaging me lol.
