A biweekly post updated every other Wednesday detailing my current reading projects and what new titles I’ve added to my to-read list.  Title links go to Goodreads, and if you have an account there feel free to friend me!  I’d love to see what you’re reading and/or planning to read.

I read this so quickly it wasn’t even on an update…well not until now.  You can tell this is Flynn’s debut novel, but that doesn’t mean it wasn’t well worth the read.  I wasn’t entirely wrong about what happened, but I wasn’t entirely right either.

I’ve now read the three Gillian Flynn novels.  Her best is definitely Gone Girl.  I don’t know if that’s my favorite, but it’s definitely the one that hits the hardest and holds up the cruelest mirror.  I hope she has more words in her, because she one of the most interesting authors I’ve discovered.

Apparently this one is an HBO Max series, so I’ll need to check that out!

I think I was talking to Ignited Moth about reading this, and I’ve been discussing it with another friend.  It’s instantly engaging where you only get bits of the story about why the two sisters are so hated.  It’s fairly short, so I think I’ll probably finish it before next update.  I can’t wait to see what’s revealed.

I didn’t get to this one these past two weeks, but I’m at least at Chapter 1.

I think I’m going to switch to another research source when I finish this chapter, since I just bought those two Jung volumes.  I’m really itching to read a bit of both.

Title: The King in Yellow
Author: Robert W. Chambers
Date Added: August 4, 2019
Date Restarted: April 17, 2022

These last stories are such a slog.  They all take place in the same area of France, and I believe they’re all connected.  Though there doesn’t seem to be any direct connection to the King in Yellow, at least not in mention.  Of course that could be me missing it because I’m so disinterested.  I intend to read and watch some reviews/critiques on this once I’m done.

Title: House of Sky and Breath
Series: Crescent City
Author: Sarah J. Maas
Date Added: March 7, 2021
Date Started: February 23, 2022

Ugh, I haven’t read any of this.  It’s one of those books I have to be emotionally prepared to dive into because the characters are so lush and realistic and I know bad stuff is going to happen to them so I have to brace myself.

Late start to this tonight.  I fell asleep after I logged off of work, probably ate lunch too late, who knows?  I’m on vacation starting next week for the next two weeks so I’m trying to plan what I’m going to work on.  I’m still five books behind, and I have no idea if I’ll make that up to make my 30 book goal but eh?  If I don’t it’s okay.  I could always try reading a bunch of graphic novels or work on shorter stories.  I do tend to read the library books I borrow, since there’s a time limit on them.
