Ideal Inspiration Blogger Award

I was nominated* for this award by Petra Jacob who is one of my favorite indie authors.  She has three books published currently (from what I can see on Goodreads, so don’t quote me!): Peddling Doomsday, Riddled With Senses, and Supernice: Smile. Or Else., but we should all entreat the word gods that she’s not going to stop there.  Not a one is even in the same genre as the other, which is a feat most authors only dream of.  I managed to respond to this nomination before it hit a year old, so now I’m going to answer her questions.

Do your dreams ever give you inspiration for stories? If so can you describe one that has?

Yes…?  I know they have, but I’ll need to ponder one that did so.  Oh!  I can check my story idea notes…yeah, I got nothing.  It’s one of those “I know it happened, but I can’t remember the details.”  Silly brain.

Mystery Blogger Award #5

Another Mystery Blogger Award this time from one of the best horror authors I’ve ever met, as well as another Sephiroth enthusiast AND Black cosplayer Mercury the Scribe.  She has both a YouTube Channel and Deviant Art page where they share and read their work.

Let’s do this.

Rules:

  • Put the award logo/image on your blog
  • List the rules.
  • Thank whoever nominated you and provide a link to their blog.
  • Mention the creator of the award and provide a link as well (That seems to have been lost to antiquity)
  • Tell your readers 3 things about yourself
  • You have to nominate 10 – 20 people (eh, I’m not going to do that)
  • Notify your nominees by commenting on their blog
  • Ask your nominees any 5 questions of your choice; with one weird or funny question (specify)
  • Share a link to your best post(s)

Three things about me:

  1. If I could summon a meteor, I would’ve done it years ago.
  2. I just bought a blue wig, but I don’t know if I like how it looks.  Addendum: I definitely don’t like the way it looks so I’m giving it to a friend.
  3. I honestly thought about studying immigration or environmental law after the 2016 election as well as astronomy, but my health is too shitty still to do either.

My Most Liked Post:

I tried to find this.  I really did, but I couldn’t figure out where it was among my stats, so I’m just going to put some links to my favorite posts

Questions from Mercury:

  1. What scares you the most? – Not being good enough.
  2. Do you believe in ghosts of the paranormal? – I believe in the possibility of these things.  We don’t know everything.  I tend to err on the side of science because when used properly, it’s self-correcting.  I also know that even though I have weird feelings/vibes, there could be a scientific explanation for why I have those feelings that I just don’t know about.  However, that doesn’t mean I’m not going to trust my instincts or listen to my gut.  You don’t have to know everything to know what’s right or wrong.
  3. What’s the funniest thing that’s ever happened to you? – My entire life is a joke I hope the universe is laughing at.
  4. If you knew you could get away with it would you kill someone? – I have a list that I won’t talk about so that I can continue to claim plausible deniability.
  5. What’s your current favorite post you’ve written? – Already did that above.

My Questions

  1. If you could have a meteor strike anywhere in the world, what locale would feel your fiery wrath?
  2. Would you rather the world end in fire or ice?  (Bonus if you can explain why both would be nice.)
  3. What’s your favorite species of shark?  (Shark Week special, ya’ll)
  4. VR is now completely realistic.  What fictional character are you spending time with?
  5. I invite you to my pillow fort party.  What kind of character/fandom pajamas are you wearing and what are you bringing for dessert?

Answer at your own leisure or peril.  I’ll be here drinking my wine.

The Sunshine Blogger Award #4

I…have been selected again for a Sunshine Blogger Award; this time courtesy of Extra Life Reviews who has solid opinions and the chops to back them up.  You should check him out!

The Sunshine Blogger Award ChallengeI might have let this one go by the wayside if I wasn’t so intrigued by the questions.  So without further ado, let’s get to it!

Have you ever watched a critically acclaimed show only to feel it didn’t live up to the hype?

I tried watching The Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt, and I just couldn’t get into it. It’s possible I’ll like it upon a second viewing since that’s what occurred with me and Arrested Development.  There’s also The Office (American version), but I attempted that years ago, and I was a different person then.

After truly getting into the medium and observing the many times film critics failed to see eye-to-eye with fans, I’ve come down to the conclusion that the former faction could stand to improve themselves. How do you think they should go about doing that?

Depending on what I move to what chapter, I may have to re-edit/revise said chapter; however, I’m finally back on track with Chapter 11.  That’s where I decided to go back and revise so I’m back where I started.  I was up quite late last night doing some work on it.  My biggest issue with this chapter is organization and where to add in extra notes, but that’s where color-coding comes in 😉

The Eclectic Blogger Award

I’ve had this award idea waiting in the wings ever since I was nominated for a PANDA Award by none other than Mr. Panda.  The WordPress blogging community has done so much for me in just a few short years.  When I started blogging, I did it to have a place to write without feeling constantly judged or feel like I was in some kind of popularity contest for likes, which plagues other platforms.  I wasn’t overly concerned with reactions or comments here; I just wanted the space to say what I wanted, write my essays, and have my own site to post my fanfiction.  I never imagined I’d become part of a fantastic group of bloggers who talk unabashedly about gaming, writing, anime, movies, and whatever the hell they want without impunity or undue judgment.  This is what true nerdom means to me.  I thought I was fed up and finished with most new games and most modern gamers, but then I realized through the friends I’ve made here that I didn’t need to use that defense mechanism anymore.  I didn’t need to be the “perfect” gamer in order to prove myself despite my gender.  I just had to be me.

Whew!  Well, what all this is leading up to is…

TiaraContinuing what I was saying last week, after having coffee, I figured out what I still needed to do and made a checklist.  I need to do a second review of Chapter 8 before continuing my review of Chapter 11, which would put me back on track.  It might take a while for Chapter 11, and I’m not going to re-post the revised story until I can continue with something new.  I’ve been having a lot of issues with fatigue and concentration lately, so I’m not where I want to be with any of my projects, but that’s the way life is, you know?

The Sunshine Blogger Award #3

They say good things come in threes, and it’s hard to deny that when a spectacular blogger named Triform Trinity nominates you for a blogging award 😀 (I really didn’t plan that…it just worked out perfectly).  TT runs a blog full of gaming wisdom (he was wise enough to know you don’t mess with me when it comes to Sephiroth) and is also one of my near, dear Nintendo Switch friends.  I was worried it had been a really long time since I’d been nominated, but it’s only been a couple of months.  Go me!

Sunshine Blogger Award

I was presented with some very clever questions that I hope my answers of worthy of.

If you could choose one type of food to eat for the rest of your life what would it be? – Cake.  Ahhh I love cake so much.  It’s like my kryptonite lol.  Yellow cake with buttercream icing to be exact.  I’m great at parties…so long as those parties contain that type of cake.  If we’re talking about a non-dessert food, I’d have to say…probably pizza, because there are so many different varieties that you could always think of a way to spice it up so you’d never be bored.

I think I might be done with my revision, but I haven’t had any coffee today, so I can’t confirm.  Either way, I’ve gone through the first eight chapters and updated as I saw fit, and I think I can continue with the regularly scheduled editing and posting.

The Unique Blogger Award

Hello dear friends and well wishers.  I hope you’re all having a good day.  As I continue with my never ending catch up, I reach another generous award from Games With Coffee, which, to mine humble ears, sounds like a marvelous idea.  I frequently pair the two together myself so I think it’s a wonderful name for a wonderful blog.

Unique Blogger Award

Here are the rules:

  1. Display the award (Done).
  2. Thank the individual(s) who have nominated you and include a link to their blog.  A little promotion for their blog is also welcome (Complete),
  3. Answer the questions asked by the individual who has nominated you (Coming up).
  4. Nominate an arbitrary number of bloggers and have them answer three questions you put forth to them (Ehhh…).
